Alan Rodelle M. Salcedo, PhD聽is an accomplished academic staff and researcher who has made significant contributions to the field of analytical chemistry and chemical sensor development. He received a Bachelor of Chemistry from the 澳门六合彩开奖网 in 2000, a Master of Chemistry (Cum Laude) in 2009, and a Ph.D. in Chemistry (Summa Cum Laude) in 2018. Dr. Salcedo currently serves as the Chair of the Department of Chemistry at the 澳门六合彩开奖网 College of Science, a position he has held since 2022. Dr. Salcedo is an Associate Professor in the Chemistry Department of the 澳门六合彩开奖网 College of Science. He is also an Academic Researcher in the Chemical Sensors and Biosensors Laboratory at the Research Center for the Natural and Applied Sciences.

Dr. Salcedo’s areas of research are focused on the development of green synthesized micro- and nanomaterials for chemical sensing applications, smartphone camera-based colorimetric sensing systems, gas sensors, and mercury sensors. He has published numerous scientific papers in prestigious journals and has received various awards and recognition for his work, including the Outstanding Scientific Paper Award from the National Academy of Science and Technology Philippines in 2022, and the St. Albertus Magnus Award from The Graduate School of the 澳门六合彩开奖网 in 2019.

Dr. Salcedo is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Kapisanang Kimika ng Pilipinas (KKP), KKP-Division of Analytical Science, the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP), the Philippine Association for Chemistry Teachers (PACT), and the Philippine Association for the Advancement of Science & Technology (PhilAAST). He has also received various scholarships and grants throughout his academic career, including a Ph.D. Scholarship under the Accelerated Science & Technology Human Resource Development Program (ASTHRDP) program from the Department of Science and Technology-Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) and a research grant for the project entitled, 鈥淥ptical Sensor for Cd(II) Ions Based on Glutathione-Capped Gold Nanoparticles鈥 from DOST- Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD). As an academic staff, Dr. Salcedo received the Gawad Santo Tomas for Most Outstanding Professor (Assistant Professor Level) in 2020.
